DIY Marvel (Easter) Gift Basket

To go hand in hand with the post I shared earlier, here is another themed Easter basket that could be used for any occasion, this time for Marvel fans. Again, I printed Marvel activities from the internet along with the clock from Loki, and I bought my brother a Hawkeye shirt I happened to come across in advance at Five Below. The card I handmade read "As you Marvel at the miraculous Easter story, I hope you enjoy this super gift!" But a card could say something like "I hope you have a marvelous birthday!" This gift was very simple, I like to keep celebrations Loki. Sorry, I'm going to stop now.

I hope you find this handy!

Graduation Gift Idea for Boys

Hey, everyone! Here's a quick little gift idea I did for my brother's graduation gift last year. This can be easily customized. I titled this as a gift for boys, but it could also be a gift for girls too, of course. My gift had four parts:

1. A lunchbox (which my brother was in need of and got to use at an upcoming camp. This could be replaced with a different sort of tote, bag, backpack or suitcase.)

2. A water bottle (again, this was something I knew my brother needed, but could be replaced with a mug or even kitchen appliance.)

3. A card (I hand made mine to make it more personal.)

4. A gift card/certificate (I did one to my brother's favorite smoothie shop, A to Zinc. Go by what you know the person loves, and conceal it inside of the bag/lunchbox.)

That's it!

If you're looking for a last-minute, easy but personal graduation gift, I hope this comes in handy!

Happy B-Day Bee-Themed Mug Gift & Motivation-in-a-Mug Gift Ideas

Hey, everyone! Here are two super easy but beautiful and practical gift ideas for adults (or teens) that could work for nearly anyone.

The first is a "Motivation in a Mug" gift including a mug with that phrase (I think I got it on sale at Target) or some sort of motivational cup, energy/protein bars, an energy/electrolyte drink packet, treats, and (although it's not really theme-related) a natural lip balm. I get my lip balms from Marshalls where they have a lot of vegan and organic products.

The second gift is bee-themed (I did it for my mother's birthday), and includes a bee-related mug, a bee dishcloth (I think mine came from Walmart?), honey, and honey lip balm.

These are just two of many, many mug gift set ideas out there, but hopefully they can provide inspiration for somebody, even for an entirely different theme.

I hope you find this handy!

Simple DIY Music-Themed Bowling Party Favors

Here is a super easy party idea that combines both music and bowling, for I could not decorate the bowling alley where my brother had one of his birthday parties, but he still wanted music-themed favors. I therefore came up with the pun used on the favor tags (I would include the free printable but I cannot currently find the file) and made these last-minute. The tags read "You rock! Thank you for being such an un-bowl-ievably great friend!" I bought cookies at Walmart, as well as dye-free icing. I couldn't use plastic wrap and had no bags, so instead of using icing tips I just used a butter knife (it was a container of icing since the other kinds had dyes). I put them in paper goodie bags and taped on the tags. For me, these took a total of probably twenty minutes (plus a while longer figuring out what to put them in. As you can see, they got squished in the bags, so cookie boxes would be ideal).

I hope these come in handy or can at least be inspiration for future bowling parties! Thank you for stopping by!

Easy, Last-Minute, DIY Custom Superhero Costume

Good evening! Here's a super quick and easy project you may find useful this holiday season, especially if you find yourself in a time crunch and know a small superhero who'd love a special, personalized superhero costume. Mine used red and yellow with lightning strikes because my friend Morgan loved the Flash and Lightning McQueen, though of course I put his initial instead. Here is a basic outline on how to create your own.

You will need:

-Fabric (my red fabric was from the Walmart $2 section and was so great, I did not even need to hem the bottom after cutting it. I used a couple sheets of felt for the other colors/parts.)

-Hot Glue and a Hot Glue Gun

-Velcro

I cut a scalloped edge on the bottom of my rectangular cape with basic scissors. I sewed the top side to a long strip of yellow felt (also a rectangle with curved sides where I planned them to buckle under the chin). I hot-glued on Velcro to the ends of the yellow felt. I cut a gray circle and yellow 'M' out for my logo and hot-glued those to the cape. I cut out my mask shape, rectangle strips and lighting strikes, hot-glued them all together, and glued Velcro to the ends of the rectangle strips for my mask.

That's all there is to it! I hope somebody finds this useful as a fun, personal gift idea!

Modern Ninjago 12th Birthday Party

Hey everyone! Today I am sharing a last-minute, modern Ninjago-themed party I threw together for my brother Will's birthday back in August. The Mandolorian party I shared recently was for his party at our grandparents and I was originally just going to reuse those decorations due to great fatigue and not being prepared, but I ended up doing this other theme he also requested on his actual birthday, admittedly the morning of. I am glad I was able to do both parties, but I wish I could have done more. This year was strange where we could not invite people, but we tried to make it special all the same. I made balloon swords for favors (I was just using what I had on hand for everything), I used his Lego figures and my mother's metallic bird for decorations, as well as the same photos and frame from his previous party, I used the same balloons from the Mandolorian party and I made a banner with pens and acrylic paint. My mother made cookie cake and he got to decorate the cake how he wanted. He let me help, too. We (but mostly Will) did a Ninjago-themed cake.

I hope you enjoyed and that this helps with any last-minute parties (especially Lego) you may throw. Thanks for stopping by!

DIY Easy Nutella Gift

Hey guys! Today I have a super quick and easy gift tutorial for any chocolate-and-peanut-butter lovers you know. If you are scrambling for some last minute ideas, this hopefully will come in handy! This could go for any type of butter, too. Almond, cashew, plain peanut butter, apple butter, and so on. This could even be just an addition to a gift basket or some other gift (as it was in my case).

All you need is:
-A Spoon (I chose metal because I planned to metal-stamp it but that didn't work out, but any kind would work)
-A Jar of Butter/Nutella
-Paper (for the label, preferably cardstock)
-A Ribbon or Alternative String
-Scissors
-A Pen/Marker
-Tape/Glue (almost any adhesive would do)

I don't even need to break this into steps as the gift is very self-explanatory. All you need to do is create the label by cutting out a circle, write "There's no 'butter' _______(fill in the blank) in the world!" or "than you!" followed by "Happy ____(fill in the blank occasion)!" You could tape or glue this onto the lid. Tie the spoon onto the ribbon or string and tie that into a bow around the mouth of the jar. That's all there is to it!

I hope this comes in handy! Thank you for visiting!

Cinema-Themed Father's Day Party (2020)

Hey everyone! This is coming late, but today I am sharing a Cinema Father's Day party, and this theme could really work for birthdays and other events as well as for Father's Day next year. I wanted to do a new, unique theme for Father's Day that I thought my dad would like. Movie themes have been done at least a million times before, but I've never seen a movie or cinema party theme for Father's Day so I decided to go with that. I wanted a very subtle but colorful color scheme of primary colors, so I used dark yellows, blues, and reds with kind of a vintage style. I made the poster with acrylic paint and markers. With another poster, I painted blue strips that I folded and hot-glued together to make the wheel, painted and cut out the yellow star, and painted and cut out the black video camera silhouette. made the ceramic circus-tent bowl in a ceramics class, printed the popcorn cones from this great free printable resource (I printed mine on golden-brown card-stock), and had the other supplies on hand as decor around our house or in my party stash. The decor is very simple, especially since I had to throw the party together in a morning and literally the day after I threw together the party I shared in the previous post for my cousin Riley. I hope you enjoy and find this inspiring for upcoming events for men you may be planning.

Thank you for stopping by! I look forward to sharing a belated Fourth of July party and tutorials with you soon!
