Bernie's Baseball Birthday Party

To be honest, this party was so long ago I have no idea when this was. Last year? Five years ago? I really do not remember. But this party was for my grandmother who has always appreciated baseball. Below are the details:

-I drew the banner pictures with a metallic silver marker. I free-handed and cut out the pennant flags the same way. I attached them to sticks or dowel rods.

-Some of the greenery came from tree branches outside, though the flowers were fake.

-I used wooden stars painted with white acrylic paint and decorated with a silver permanent marker for favors. The stars came from Walmart.

-The lace tablecloth came from Dollar General.

Thank you for visiting!

Easter 2025

This post is extremely short, but here are three photos from our Easter 2025. The decorations were very simple because I also did a birthday party on the same day and it felt wrong to combine the two, so I decorated our house for Easter and another house for a birthday. I painted the backdrop, which was an ordinary poster, used sticks outside for the cross, and went for a dramatic complimentary color scheme of dark red and dark green (although the backdrop turned more blue than planned) for the symbolism those colors hold. And also simply because I love that color pairing, and had not done that palette for Easter before.

Thanks for stopping by!

Modern Boho Country/Prairie Adult Birthday Party

Happy Sunday! This is a party I did last month with a modern, bohemian-sort of vibe but loosely themed around Georgia, the countryside, and florals. I was inspired by prairie-themed parties I saw online while searching for ideas. The balloons came from Walmart, the plants came from the thrift store (I found them that same day and was super excited), and everything else I had on hand. I borrowed the broom and angel from my grandparents, who also made the angel food cake.

I hope you enjoyed this theme idea, and I look forward to sharing exciting art projects and easy gift ideas soon!

Modern Plant-Themed 24th Birthday Party

Hey guys, today I am sharing an event that I actually did not put together, but was a surprise for my birthday last month my family and relatives kindly did for me. I said surprise --allow me to clarify. I knew there was a 'party' but I did not know they had time to decorate and had gone all out for it, so it was a pleasant surprise. If you know me well, you know I hate many surprises, surprise parties included, but I enjoyed this surprise.

As the balloons show, I turned 2,424. Man, how time flies. The decades just go by faster every century. They chose a plant-ish theme and simple colors, which is perfect for me. My mother even got fancy, practical notebook favors and my grandparents gave me a lovely pot of live flowers that miraculously are still alive as I type. The four balloon popped, so they got creative and used matching tissue paper on a cardboard four, which looked more unique, so it worked out well. I honestly thought that was intentional, so thumbs up for great improv!

I hope you enjoyed this theme idea as much as I did, and look forward to sharing more events soon!

Jacob's 21st Photography-Themed Birthday Party

Hello everyone! Below are pictures from my brother's recent 21st birthday. He requested a photography theme. I did a black and white color palette. I fortunately already had vintage cameras on hand as well as all of the photos, dishes and décor. I made the poster and camera. I printed out photos and photography quotes to incorporate. As party favors, I stuck 'Sandwich Cookies' a.k.a. off-brand Oreos to wafers from Dollar Tree to make camera shapes and put them in sandwich bags tied with string. The succulent chocolates were Baker's chocolate and sweetener I melted and froze in a mold.

I hope you enjoyed!
