Father's Day is coming up, so here is my 2017 Father's Day party that I never got around to sharing last year. My father loves the ocean. He grew up not far from the beach. Therefore, I themed my party around the beach, and his home-state's large city, Boston. The color scheme was red, white, blue and brown. I used shells and feathers I had gathered at the beach, I handmade the netting (There's tutorials online, but it took forever!), made the photo banner (which is pretty self-explanatory), and painted the recycled bottles, then wrapped them with twine. Most of the decor was already made from Robert's Seaside-themed Party. The frame and dishes were from the thrift store. I borrowed the plants from my mother, and she made the scrumptious cupcakes. There is a tutorial for the shell place cards here.
I hope you enjoyed! I look foward to sharing another post soon!

DIY Seashell Placecards
For Father's Day I created these super easy seashell place cards to go with the seaside-Boston theme. You can make them to, in just a couple minutes!
You will need:
-Seashells
-Ink pen
1. Get out your seashells. They can be whole shells or broken fragments, just whatever you have or can find.
2. Write names on the shells with your pen in calligraphy. If you can't write in calligraphy, try to write in cursive, then go back and make the left side of each letter fatter than the right side. Or do a different font style altogether.
3. You're done! Place cards and pretty party decor doesn't get much quicker or cheaper (if you have the supplies already) than that, right?
Have fun styling your table!
