News Themed Adult Birthday Party

Happy belated Independence Day! I mentioned in an earlier post that I decorated for a birthday party on Easter (in addition to an Easter party). Here it is: a News Themed birthday party I did for my grandfather. Below are the details:

-The favor journals were from Walmart, I believe? They are $0.50 or less a piece.

-I used a free Canva or Google template to create the custom newspaper article on the letter board.

-I didn't have a microphone, so I just found and printed a Google image of one.

-The "Extra! Extra!" candies were dollar store mint chocolates (but any candy would work) with the labels created through Canva taped on.

-The giant newspaper poster was hand drawn with Sharpie. I found a template online I liked and free handed it on a regular poster. I printed a photo and used a glue stick for the image at the bottom.

I hope you enjoyed this post!

Music-Themed New Year's Party (2024)

At last, well over a year late, here is a unique New Year's Eve/New Year's Day party theme from when it became 2024. I cannot take credit for this party as it was a collaborative effort put together by two of my best friends and myself. They did most of the music symbols 2024 poster, drew on the balloons, made music paper cut artwork, and some of the signs. We all love music with a passion, so it seemed a fitting theme to start the year with. I hope you enjoy the music party ideas shown below!

Thank you for visiting!

Jacob's 21st Photography-Themed Birthday Party

Hello everyone! Below are pictures from my brother's recent 21st birthday. He requested a photography theme. I did a black and white color palette. I fortunately already had vintage cameras on hand as well as all of the photos, dishes and décor. I made the poster and camera. I printed out photos and photography quotes to incorporate. As party favors, I stuck 'Sandwich Cookies' a.k.a. off-brand Oreos to wafers from Dollar Tree to make camera shapes and put them in sandwich bags tied with string. The succulent chocolates were Baker's chocolate and sweetener I melted and froze in a mold.

I hope you enjoyed!

Beatles-Themed Birthday Party

Hello! For my brother's last birthday back in August I threw a Beatles-themed birthday party that was black and white with some pops of primary colors. The décor included vintage cameras I had on hand, a borrowed drum that I taped a printed "Sargent Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" label to, records I cut from foam and wrote on with a Jelly Roll ink pen, a borrowed guitar, printed Beatles album photo, a borrowed album, and a handwritten poster. I used strawberry candies from Dollar Tree and wrote "Strawberry Fields Forever" above them. I also bought pretzel sticks called 'Pennysticks" and labeled them "Penny Lane Pennysticks". The party hat was made from a printed Beatles picture hot-glued into a cone and attached to an elastic headband.

Thank you for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed!
