Meteorologist Birthday Party

 Hello everyone, happy Good Friday!

Today I am sharing photos from my grandfather's meteorologist-themed birthday party. It was basically the same thematically as this weather party from years back, but I would like to think this one was greatly improved or at least more stylish.

Here are a few key details:

-The rain cloud was made with metallic silver balloons at Walmart along with translucent/iridescent gift straw stuff I came across near the balloons (it was $0.98 though).

-The blue balloons also came from Walmart. I draped dancing ribbons I had on hand over the board, so that is what the white cloth is.

-The clouds and words are all made from a bag of cotton (also from Walmart).

-The donuts and cinnamon buns came from Dollar General. The pottery and dishes I had on hand (handmade years back).

-I painted the poster with regular acrylic paints and hot-glued the words on.

-For the party favors, I bought packs of three notebooks for $1 at Walmart, designed different weather and weather forecast templates on Canva to print and cut out, then glued them on as the notebook covers. I added mini flashlights that were bought in bulk on Amazon.

I hope you enjoyed!
Here is a verse to close with today in honor of Good Friday if you want a powerful word to reflect on: "But He was pierced for our rebellion, crushed for our sins. He was beaten so we could be whole. He was whipped so we could be healed." (Isaiah 53:5, NLT). A powerful lyrics quote that seems relevant goes something like this: Even though you may be in a storm, that does not mean the storm is in you. (Mark 4.)
Thank you for visiting!

Jacob's Violinist & Orchestral Composer Birthday Party, Part 2

Hello! Here is Jacob's second Violinist & Orchestral Composer-themed birthday party. This party used the almost all the same decorations and supplies described in the previous post, just rearranged for a different location. The favor tag printable can be found in the previous post.

Jacob's Violinist & Orchestral Composer Birthday Party Part 1

Hello, today I present yet another composer themed birthday party, but specifically violinist-themed. This was my brother's birthday party last year. The metallic balloons come in $1 packs at Walmart, while the rest came from Dollar Tree. I outlined the letters on the poster, painted them with gold metallic paint (or used metallic markers which would have been ideal, but I think I was out), and outlined them in pen or permanent marker. I found composer bust images online, put them on a Canva document and tried to match the colors, edited a photo of my brother (who had dressed up as Mozart the year before) to look like stone, printed the images and glued them on. I could not find (affordable) music-themed foods my brother would like, so I used marshmallows and Whoppers to at least kind of look like piano colors in the favor bags. I created a printable on Canva that read "Thank you for making Jacob's party grand!" with a grand piano graphic. Everything else was on hand. The favor printable is included below, ready to customize with a different name should anyone be interested in using it.

Part 2 of this party is coming soon. I hope you found this helpful and enjoyed!

Seaside & Stories Birthday Party Theme

Hello! I'd like to share Seaside & Stories birthday party from three years ago.

The balloons came from Dollar Tree (I think), and I painted the ocean-themed pictures with watercolors, then used a Sharpie or gel ink pen to add details on top. I did the same for the food labels as well. The treats included "Sea Snails" for cinnamon buns and "Sand Dollars" for Nilla cookies. The poster was made with that same pen and recycled book pages. This theme was actually inspired by a book I found at a thrift store and love, titled "A Child of Books" by Oliver Jeffers. The vases, plants, and dishes were all things I had on hand. For the book page ocean, I hot glued the pages together into the ocean shape onto brown wrapping paper, then attached it with hot glue or staples to the tablecloth. I started by writing quotes about reading onto the brown paper, but that was taking way too long, so there is a random-looking strip with quotes, and that is why. The favors were $0.25 notebooks (bought in packs) from Walmart. I hot glued recycled book pages onto the covers.

I hope you enjoyed this theme, thanks for visiting!
