Hayden's Sweet Sixteen Movie Pool Party

Hey! I haven't posted but one post in 2 weeks and I should have given you all a heads up. We had company and went many places with our guests, staying busy, and I had like three days to plan this party. So I did'nt have much of a chance to post and I was out of ideas. But I have plenty of ideas for this week, so here's Hayden's Sweet Sixteenth birthday party, held on Sunday. I envisioned it a lot bigger, but it was the best I could do last minute. The theme is a movie-pool-party and the color scheme is pastel.

I made these fans using an online tutorial. I will provide the link if I find it.

I made some pastel tassel banners, which are really easy to make. There's lots of tutorials online for these.

Believe it or not, this movie cutter is mae out of an old cabinet. I sawed it off (with some assistance) and painted it.

This film reel (shown below) is made out of cardboard.

I made this arrow out of cardboard, then stuck recycled light bulbs into it. Sadly, it doesn't actually light up.

I got 220 balloons to fill the pool with. 200 of them were water-balloons. Oddly enough, the water-balloons began popping immediately while the air-filled balloons lasted. I also made tablecloth flowers.

Happy 16th birthday, Hayden! I'll be sharing a tutorial for the pink camera pinata from this party soon!

[This party was sponsored by Bernice and Robert L., and Jessica B.]
