Fairytale-Themed Girl Baby Shower Gift

Hello! Today I'd like to share a girl fairytale-themed baby shower gift basket I put together for my friend's daughter. An important part of putting together gift baskets is making sure the colors match. The color scheme I used for this basket was mainly blush pinks, brown, and grey. I included socks, a handmade wand, an outfit, a rabbit blanket toy with rattles, and a wooden block I decorated with her name and birthdate. For the basket, I used a plant bowl (I don't know what they are actually called) from Dollar Tree, tied a lace ribbon around it, and tucked moss in around the bowl. This could easily be changed into a boy baby shower gift inspired by literature or a girl baby shower gift with a different theme, or be used for holidays/first birthdays, of course.

I hope you find this basket idea or this theme inspiring! Also, for those starting today, happy first day of the 2022-23 school year!

Rose-Themed Birthday Party

Hello! Here is one of the upcoming parties I mentioned in my last post, a Rose-themed birthday party, which I did for my mother in August. I was desperate for theme ideas and had no idea what to do until the week of. Several different things gave me the idea of doing a rose-theme, and I though that they were my mother's favorite flower. As it turned out, I have been wrong about that my whole life. Anyway, I made a graphic-design-style calligraphy poster with both paint and markers, rose Epsom-salt favors, and a bouquet of paper roses. For the paper roses, I used a Pinterest tutorials and they are super easy to make. I used wooden dowels for stems and painted them green. I stuck real vines into the pegboard for a fairy-tale look, and I used both backyard flowers and bouquets from a local store in vases. Here are the photos:

If you find yourself in need of a unique party idea for a lady (or girl), hopefully this helps. I have a lot more posts to share, so visit again soon!

Pastel Rainbow 6th Birthday Party

For my cousin Riley's 6th birthday party two weekends ago, she'd requested a rainbow theme, so I did a pastel, magical rainbow party with her favorite things all in pastels. For example, she loves unicorns, mermaids, fish, books, cats, and so on, so I included those silhouettes in the pastel banner I made with scrapbook paper hot-glued to ribbon. Her unicorn cake was from Ingles. I made the sparkly tablecloth-type curtain with long strands of tulle tied to a ribbon at the top. I cut out the jewel banner and the banner with her name from scrapbook paper, too. I will do a separate post on how to make the party favors. I painted the seashells with metallic nail polish. I handmade the place-cards and labels with scrapbook paper and a metallic marker or ink pen.

Thank you for visiting!
