Christmas Room Tour, 2021

Hey everyone, this is super random, but going through photos I realized I never shared my Christmas decorations. So here is either a very late or a very early Christmas room tour (from 2021). I decorated the mirror with hot-glued plants from outside. They are still holding on and look golden despite being dead! I added a bow and bell from a Dollar Tree pack of bells. I made the banner out of cut and tied strips of fabric. Most of the decorations came from thrift stores, others were gifts or décor I had from previous years. I wanted a very simple, minimalist feel with blush pink, burgundy, gold, and neutral brown colors.

I hope you enjoyed!

Louie's Baseball Birthday Party

This party was from way back around the beginning of September. At this point, it can be assumed that if a party occurs during the school semester, it's very last-minute. This party was very small and simple, but would be easy to throw together yourself. The favors were yo-yos with hand-drawn and cut baseballs glued on the fronts, bags with I don't remember what inside, and cracker jacks. I drew the poster with marker, made the banner with paper, string and marker, drew lines on the bags with the same marker, and used red electric tape for the baseball lines on the tablecloth.

Thanks for stopping by! I have more to share soon!

Starwars Fourth of July Party

Hello! Sorry it's been so long! I am thrilled to share a recent Phantom Tollbooth birthday party, as well as a rose-themed birthday party, but first I would like to share this Fourth of July party before I forget to post it. I wanted to do a unique theme for the Fourth of July, but still use traditional, patriotic colors. I'd seen the Starwars pun "May the Fourth be with you" many times, and I was watching the sagas for the first time; so it hit me that that could be the theme! I wanted the party to be vibrant, fun and punny but still patriotic. I drew the poster, colored stars on balloons and threw a banner up from a past party. It's very simple because it was super last-minute, as usual (like the day of), but let's say I was aiming for a clean, minimalist party. Yes, let's go with that. Anyway, here it is:

Thank you for visiting! Come back soon for more party and gift ideas!

Morgan's Lightning McQueen 3rd Birthday Party

Here's another party from back in March. This one was a surprise party for my friend Morgan who loves Lightning McQueen. The palette was mainly black, white and silver with pops of red. I had a lot of help with the balloon arch, which took around six bags of balloons. I made the lightning-strike banner with hot-glued construction paper on a string. I hand-painted the posters. The race car streamers were from Hobby Lobby, as were the matching flag balloons. I made the trophies with hot-glues plastic cups that were painted black, trophies from Dollar Tree, construction paper and marker. I didn't have anything to put in them, so I finally resorted to sticking random pom-poms in. The other favors included chalk and notebooks. He had a blast! In addition to chalk-drawings, balloons, and Play-Doh activities, we made lots of balloon animals (and objects) with the long, twist-able balloons.

I look forward to sharing more soon!
