Jacob's Music-Themed Graduation Party

Hello everyone, here is one of many, many events from a while back (this was from June) I am trying to get caught up on. This was a surprise graduation party for my brother themed around his passion, music. It was not as big and grand as I hoped, but I did what I could. I had tons of help from friends and family who deserve credit for many of the great puns, who helped with the photo display, favors, displays, balloons...actually everything. (Thank you Jessica, Bernice, Robert, Edwin, Mont, Lillie, Morgan and Hayden!) They did a great job of setting up. I was foolish and made the mistake of putting out a record to sign (and forgot the pen to sign it with) in the sun, so that melted into a weird,  crumpled shape. I also used candles as part of the party favors. Shockingly, they too melted in the approximately ninety-eight degree weather and ruined the favor bags. The beautiful cupcakes came from our local Cornelia Sugartopia (I don't remember if the toppers were from somewhere else, though). Despite some chaos and mistakes on my part, I think my brother had a great time. The color scheme was mainly gold, dark blue, with some added pops of dark red and black.

Thank you for visiting! I hope this at least gives you some pun ideas for any music graduates you might know!

Bee-Themed Valentine's Day Party

Hey, everyone! I'm sorry it's been so long! I had an extremely busy spring and early summer semester. There are lots of gifts, tutorials and events I want to catch up on, so to begin with, here's a Valentine's party from way back in February. I wanted a unique party that wasn't red or pink, so I went with a punny "Hap-Bee Valentine's Day" theme. I made up the pun, but I got inspiration from several other bee parties on Pinterest. I wrote "Thanks for bee-ing a great friend!" by the favors. This party was actually a double-pun because the original date was cancelled and it took place after Valentine's Day, so it was "bee-lated". I don't have many photos because I threw this together the day of and I was too busy to take many photos. For party favors, I made hot-glue bees painted with gold nail polish on paper clips. Everyone exchanged valentines, and I will eventually share tutorials for my newest book-themed valentines. This took place at a local park.

Thanks for visiting! I hope to share more soon!

Valentine's Day Party at the Park, 2017

As I mentioned in my last post, I'm really behind on blogging. Remember the Valentine's Day Party at the Park from last year? Well, it's become a tradition! Here's a party held on the weekend of Valentine's Day at the same location. I handmade the heart backdrop, and plan on making a tutorial for it. I kind of threw everything together in less than three days, so it was very simple and last-minute. The color scheme was browns, white, green, pale pink, and gold. The food was provided by all of the guests. The diamonds were created using straws. The children and teens all exchanged Valentine's cards. It was fun!

I have more posts planned for next week!
