Thanksgiving, 2018

Here's my 2018 Thanksgiving tablescape. It's kind of an odd time to post this, but as I've mentioned before, I'm trying to catch up on the year, so maybe this will come in handy next fall. I also took some food photos for fun of my 'weird' Keto-Vegan meal. The leaves were gathered from outside and I did the calligraphy with a gel ink pen after painting half of each with gold acrylic paint for an elegant, gold-dipped looked. The runner was made with my Dollar Tree wrapping paper. The leaves and branches were from various plants in out yard, such as our Bradford Pear Tree. The candlesticks and dishes were all thrift store finds I had in my stash. I threw it all together the day of, as usual.

My Fall Room Tour (2018)

Hello, everyone! Here's the room tour I promised you. I don't re-decorate my bedroom very often, and didn't bother to decorate for fall last year; however, this year I was in the mood for fall and winter, so I redid my decor. My favorite style is Scandinavian, although I also love modern farmhouse. I hope it reflects that preference, and that you find inspiration. I'm afraid I only took a few pictures and the windows made them hard to edit, so they're not very good. Anyhow, here's the photos of my bedroom, decorated for fall:

Decor:

-I handmade the art print, one that I sell through my business

-The artwork on the wall was from my art teacher, a lovely illustratin that she created

-The plant on my dresser was on sale at Michaels for less than or around $2.00

-The candsticks were from thriftstores and somebody's house. The other candle was from Bath and Body Works, but I painted it with gold acrylic paint

-The blanket ladder was handmade (by me, which explains why it is completely crooked and flimsy)

-The blanket was from a thrift store. The other 'blanket' is actually a cardigan.

Bernie's Apple Orchard Party

For my grandmother's birthday I did an apple orchard-themed party to go with the fall season. It was supposed to be a lovely, outdoor dinner, only it rained so I had to seriously alter my plans. Below are the pictures. I made mini apple pinatas for each guest as well as apple-shaped popcorn bags (which I will post a diy tutorial for eventually). I used leaves as the 'guestbook' and to leave notes for the birthday girl. All cake credits go to Robert L.
