Under the Sea Birthday Party

Hello, everyone! I hope everyone is faring well. Today I'd like to share a birthday party for my grandfather I did last weekend. The theme I went with was "Under the Sea" since I wanted to do something unique and he loves the ocean. I used lots of plants gathered from outside, three bags of moss from Dollar Tree (one I had on hand already), seashells my brothers and I have found on trips over the years, gold coins from Dollar Tree, scrapbook-paper sea creatures I cut out, two (fake) pearl necklaces someone gave me for costumes a long time ago, and flowering branches from our Bradford Pear tree. For favors, I wrapped rubber bands around washcloths to turn them into basic fish shapes. The dishes were from my party supply stash (and came from thrift stores). I painted the signs and posters with light blue Apple Barrel acrylic paint, and got the ideas for some of those from this 100 Layer Cakelet party. Using these materials, I fashioned what I hope resembled an underwater seascape. I added the fishing net I made for his Seaside Birthday Party, the only white/clear balloons I had, and a Dollar Tree star balloon. The color scheme I was going for was natural browns and greens, white, pastel blue, and silver.

I hope you enjoyed. Thanks for visiting!
