Good morning! Today I am excited to share a party that celebrated my cousin's 21st birthday. I had trouble coming up with a theme, so I went with a rather cliché summer theme inspired by a game we played as children: mermaids. The challenge was making it not look childish, so I went for an elegant, refined sort of twist with a pastel-and-metallic color palette. I made the cake topper with cardstock and used Sixlets (my grandmother made the cheesecake). I used plastic forks as 'dinglehoppers', which I decorated with jewels, nail polish, and glitter. The birthday banner came from Dollar Tree. I handmade the net using twine (many years back) following one of the many online tutorials. The pearl party favors were also Sixlets. The last party favors were miniature Dollar Tree bottles filled with essential oils since that was all that would fit, plus I wanted to have practical favors.

10 Day Art Challenge for Quarentine (Free Printable)
Hey everyone! Today I would like to share a fun, quick 10 day art challenge that will hopefully help you grow as an artist which I created the other day. At the very least, maybe you can try out some new techniques or media. If you are like me, you have plenty to do so you aren't really 'bored' but you lack the motivation to do what needs to be done. If that is the case, maybe this will get you excited and spark some energy. I can't speak from experience since I will be trying it out with you for the first time, starting today. If you are bored, then here's a cure for your boredom! Below is the free printable challenge checklist. Enjoy!
