Free Printable Peanuts Gang Paper Dolls

Hey guys! Today I have a free printable of some main Peanuts gang character paper dolls inspired by the comic book illustrations by Charles Shulz and movie adaptions which I handrew. You can use these in black and white or color them in. I'm not usually a fan of coloring-book type things, at least not since I read how detrimental they can be for young children who are developing creativity in my art education class last year. However, I made these as a snail mail extra in a gift box to add a fun activity and use for playing with, and these will hopefully make fun play items. I love old-fashioned offline playthings when it comes to toys. I strongly encourage children (or anyone) to make up their own characters, as well. I drew these with a regular gel ink pen or a tiny-tipped Sharpie pen on white cardstock. The free printable is below:

"Bag of Sunshine" DIY Gift + Free Printable Sunshine Banner

Good morning, everyone! Today I'd like to share a recent gift I made with a tutorial for you, as well as a free printable sunshine banner (becuase who doesn't need some metaphorical sunshine right now?). This gift may be hard to put together at the moment with most stores closed and everyone staying in, but this may come in handy after quarentine is over and some of the items you should be able to make at home regardless. I got lucky and happened to have these things already in my house. First of all, here is a list of what I included in my "Bag of Sunshine" gift:
-Sanatizer (from Bath and Body Works that reads 'Stay Pawsitive')
-Stickers (mine were from a pad of Happy Planner stickers I cut out and got on sale at Michaels)
-The free printable banner below
-Sunshine-themed sheet music that I watercolored yellow (found free online)
-A clay sunshine I made with Polymer clay and painted with acrylic paint and clear nail polish
-Some yellow pens I found in my art supplies
-A bag of yellow balloons
-Confetti (handmade)
-A watercolor quote picture (handmade)
-A car air-freshener that looks like a yellow-ish candle (from Dollar Tree)

Now, you could make your own clay with flour and salt to substitute the Polymer clay, and you could use any art media to make a picture or share a quote. I made the confetti with two hole punchers I got on sale at Hobby Lobby a long time back that were star-shaped and heart-shaped, but you could hand-cut the confetti instead if you don't have any hole punchers. I just used plain construction paper (the only kind of paper I had in yellow). Provided you have ink, paper and a printer, you can print the banner below and sheet music. For the banner, you will of course also need string, scissors, and a hot glue gun with hot glue or tape to cut out the sunshines on the printable and attatch them on a string. For packaging, I just used printer paper, a black marker to write the calligraphy with, construction paper, those Happy Planner stickers I mentioned, and I might've used a little scrapbook paper I had although if I did I didn't use much because, like I mentioned before, I didn't have yellow.  As for the other objects I included, these could be substituted for nearly anything yellow. Most of the 'Box of Sunshine' gifts on Pinterest use yellow foods, too, I just try to avoid food gifts generally. I think that about covers everything. Happy crafting!

DIY Art History Valentines + Free Printable

Hello, everyone! I'm sorry this post is coming to you later than usual and that I couldn't finish it before Valentine's Day. However, these puns could come in handy for any day, and maybe will provide inspiration for more art history gifts/cards, in addition to being a resource for you next year. I made these puns and came up with the art history theme while doing a huge art history project for my art education classes (called "the mammoth project" for a reason!), and most of the puns came to me while I was in bed around midight (isn't that when all the best ideas come?). These are super easy to make, at least for the most part. If you have a laminator I imagine the process is way easier, but I cut, peeled and stuck together my laminate paper by hand. These cost probably around $0.75 each if the ink, paint tubes, paper and laminate are all included, but not counting the extra paper and supplies left over. To clarify: I am not calculating and adding the cost of paper, ink, and the roll of laminate, but estimating based on the amount used of those items. I normally would do cheaper valentines, but I only needed around ten this year, plus I didn't realize how much they would add up to. You could modify this to be more cost-efficient.

Here is what you will need:

-Tubes of Paint (or some artistic material)

-Laminate Paper

-White Cardstock

-A Printer and Colored Ink

-The Free Printable Below

-String or Tape (or some material you have on hand to hold the paint/alternative to the card)

-A Pen 

-Playing Cards (optional)

-A Glue Stick

-Scissors

Step 1. 

Printout the printables below onto white cardstock and cut them out.

Step 2. 

If you use playing cards, glue the picture onto one side of each card with a glue stick and cut an equal-sized peice of white cardstock to glue to the other side (so the card is sandwiched in between). The card just reinforces sturdiness. Whether or not you use playing cards, the back is white. Write a message on the back with your pen (preferrably black gel ink, a simple message like "Happy Valentine's Day!") and sign your name. 

Step 3. 

Laminate the cards. 

Step 4. 

Tie, tape or somehow adhere the paint tubes (or alternative media) to the cards, preferrably with an adhesive that will not mess up the cards when removed. You are done!

DIY Jewelry Charm Valentines

Happy Valentine's Day! I meant to post this sooner, but it's not too late to make this punny girls Valentine. Reading "You are a 'charm'ing friend," these Valentine's are perfect for all ages. Below are the directions on how to make them, as well as a JPEG, free printable image.

 You will need:
-The free printable below, printed on card stock
-Scissors or (preferably) a paper cutter
-Jewelry charms (I didn't get mine here, but here's a cheap lot of key charms)
-Necklace chains or string to loop the charms through

1. First of all, cut up your printable into six equal-sized squares or rectangles. (I apologize for not having any lines to cut along).
2. Next, put your charms on a necklace chain and wrap it around the Valentine cards by cutting slits into the sides or cut slits into the corners and tape the excess chain to the back; you could use string, such as baker's twine, as an alternative to necklace chains.
3. Fill in the 'To' and 'From' blanks. You're done!

By the way, to print the image below, you can save it to your computer by right clicking and selecting 'Save image as...,' or you can right-click and select 'Open image in new tab.' If you saved the image, go to the file where you saved it, right-click again, and select print. If you chose to open it in a new tab, go to the tab. Somewhere in the top-right corner of the screen there should be some sort of icon. For me, it's three dots lined up vertically. Click that, and select print. From there, you can chose your settings such as margins and size, and then print it.
