Rose-Themed Birthday Party

Hello! Here is one of the upcoming parties I mentioned in my last post, a Rose-themed birthday party, which I did for my mother in August. I was desperate for theme ideas and had no idea what to do until the week of. Several different things gave me the idea of doing a rose-theme, and I though that they were my mother's favorite flower. As it turned out, I have been wrong about that my whole life. Anyway, I made a graphic-design-style calligraphy poster with both paint and markers, rose Epsom-salt favors, and a bouquet of paper roses. For the paper roses, I used a Pinterest tutorials and they are super easy to make. I used wooden dowels for stems and painted them green. I stuck real vines into the pegboard for a fairy-tale look, and I used both backyard flowers and bouquets from a local store in vases. Here are the photos:

If you find yourself in need of a unique party idea for a lady (or girl), hopefully this helps. I have a lot more posts to share, so visit again soon!

Rosabella's Adoption Party

My family was very excited to welcome our newest member about two weeks ago: Rosabella Stella Baltimore! I threw an adoption party in her honor. She is a golden retriever, given to us by a very generous family, and we adore her. Who couldn't? The party was very small, and I didn't even know when we would adopt her until the morning of, so it was hastily thrown together. I wanted it to be a mixture of floral and astronomy decor like another party I saw, because Rose is Rosabella's nickname and Stella means 'star'. The palette was light/pastel pinks and yellows with silver.

I'm excited to share a "Reach for the Stars" graduation party next!
