DIY Aprons from an Upcycled Tee-shirt

In today's tutorial, I'm going to show you how to make little (and big) aprons from a tee-shirt. For this project, you need:
-At least one tee-shirt
-Scissors
-Hot glue gun and hot glue gun sticks
-Ribbon (preferably simple, very wide ribbon that is the color of the tee-shirt)
-Stick-on Velcro (Optional)

First of all, let's start with a simple tee-shirt.

Cut off the sleeves, and then cut the sides of the tee-shirt from the bottom to the collar, following the seams, creating two pieces. Next, hot glue the rough edges inside so that the outside of your apron appears clean-cut. You could also sew it instead. Now, using the sleeves of the tee-shirt, cut two strips and glue them to the top front corners of one of the sides of the tee-shirt. These are the straps that tie around the neck. Then glue your ribbon onto the front. On the edges of the ribbon, you can add Velcro rather than tying it. My ribbon already had Velcro and was part of blanket packaging. You're already done! One tee-shirt can make two kids aprons. To make a bigger apron, you could use both halves of the tee-shirt, one for the top (above the ribbon) and one for the bottom (below the ribbon).

Have fun baking!
