How to Plan an Inexpensive but Epic Party

Today I wanted to share some tips on throwing a party on a budget:

1. Use what you have.
Make sure you don't have any balloons (or party favors, straws, ect.) before buying them.

2. Recycle!
I always use backdrops, posters, banners, garlands, dishes and such at least twice.

3. DIY instead of Buy.
I never buy banners, confetti, garlands, pinatas, scenic backdrops, or anything I can make. Only the necessities!

4. Look for Alternatives.
Always make sure, when buying party necessities, that you are paying the cheapest price possible. Does one dollar store sell streamers for $0.50 cheaper than the others? Is buying 3 tablecloths at Walmart cheaper than 1 at Dollar Tree?

5. Thrift Shop.
Whenever you are at a thrift store, yard sale or estate sale, keep your eyes open for jars, flowers, dishes, and anything else you might need.

All you really need is a backdrop (which could simply be a tablecloth), food, balloons, party favors, invitations and a banner (and obviously napkins, plates and silverware). I hope you found these tips helpful!
