Will's Lego Movie Party

My brother Will had a sixth birthday way back in August. I only just thought of posting parties I decorate for, so here are some pictures and ideas for a Lego Movie party:

He had two parties, one at our grandparents' house, and one by a lake at a park. So here's the pictures from the state park:

This is a napkin holder made of large Legos.

These water-bottle labels can be printed from this link: http://halegrafx.com/printables/free-printable-lego-movie-water-bottle-labels/.

Throw a bunch of bright, random Legos in a jar for a 'Guess how many Legos are in the jar' game. For older kids (there were mostly older kids there), deceive them by putting big Legos on the surface and around the center, then fill the bottom with lots of tiny, clear ones.

One of my brother's friends had two sisters, one almost a teenager, and one a teenager. So I had to figure out good party favors that go with the theme. but that they also would like. At Walmart, there was a sale where you could get a nail polish for thirty-something cents. So I got some, then we got Tic-Tacs. Here is the party favors I invented for them:

For everyone else, we gave them three coloring pages with crayons in bags that were supposed to look like Legos. I made the crayon boxes look like Legos. For those who are wondering, I just used construction paper and a glue stick for both the girl and boy party favors.

I was going to blow up lots of balloons and hang a banner, but I either forgot or lost the tape, so that's all.

Thank you to everyone who came, making Will's party extra special!

Now here are the pictures from his other party, for which I decorated indoors:

Again, here's a 'Guess how many Legos are in the jar' game, also being used as a table centerpiece.

I built this display out of  Legos (that I borrowed from my brothers).

I made these banners out of construction paper, white copy paper, and drew the black outline with a            permanent marker. Warning: they are pretty time-consuming.

Well, that's all. But my other brother's birthday parties are at the end of this week and the start of next week. I'll be posting about it in a week or two, so be sure to stay updated! That was Will's party.
