My Decorating Secret Revealed

My room isn't very big, no matter how many times I try to go through my things and get rid of stuff. Do you have the same problem? I thought so. So I came up with a solution a long time back. At last, I'm going to share my top-secret decorating secret... Decorations with hidden compartments or space! And I don't mean fancy gadgets. I mean just everyday things... vases, books, anything hollow (or that can be made hollow).
Here's some of my own decorations with secret storage:

This is a cake-stand (that I use for everything but cakes) that I made by placing a plate on a vase (I'll probably add directions for it on my diy page).

Book storage: I got that book at Micheals (Which I must advise you to not do, because they are outrageously expensive ( $6 whole dollars!) and you can make one yourself. I don't have directions, but Pinterest does). As you can see, that's where I keep almost all the keys I love to collect.

Do you have a vase or mason jar you like to display flowers in? Paint a mason jar (or vase) so that it's no longer see through, then put flowers in it. No one would ever guess!
